Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF), which rose 0.48% or 33 points to trade at 6970 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 0.38% or 35 points to end at 9262 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 0.31% or 170 points to 55710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 4.93% or 307 points to trade at 5920 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.76% or 28 points to end at 969 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) shed 2.38% or 240 points to 9850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 233 to 130 and 42 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.07% or 0.04 to $56.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $65.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1283.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.6178, while EUR/ILS fell 0.45% to 4.0878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 96.852.
