Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 1.66% or 166 points to trade at 10150 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 1.38% or 1400 points to end at 103000 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was up 1.10% or 530 points to 48870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Harel (TA:HARL), which lost 2.44% or 65 points to trade at 2600 in late trade. Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) declined 1.95% or 26.0 points to end at 1309.0 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) shed 1.86% or 54 points to 2855.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 263 to 133 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.72% or 0.40 to $55.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.05% or 0.68 to hit $65.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1328.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.6186, while EUR/ILS rose 0.48% to 4.1162.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 96.050.
