Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Real Estate and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 1.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which rose 4.51% or 680 points to trade at 15750 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 4.45% or 266 points to end at 6240 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 3.92% or 25.2 points to 668.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which lost 1.24% or 740 points to trade at 58810 in late trade. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) declined 0.50% or 0.4 points to end at 79.0 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 0.46% or 12 points to 2625.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 253 to 94 and 106 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.61% or 1.55 to $57.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.61% or 1.02 to hit $62.56 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.00 to trade at $1168.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.38% to 3.7852, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 4.2046.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 96.08.
