Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 5.38% or 1310 points to trade at 25640 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 2.96% or 450 points to end at 15670 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.96% or 140 points to 7280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which lost 2.51% or 410 points to trade at 15930 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.06% or 300 points to end at 14250 and Migdal Insurance (TA:MGDL) shed 1.56% or 7.3 points to 461.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 173 to 162 and 119 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.39% or 0.85 to $60.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.04% or 1.33 to hit $64.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1191.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.8452, while EUR/ILS rose 0.96% to 4.3307.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 95.37.
