Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 2.51% or 600 points to trade at 24490 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.95% or 390 points to end at 20440 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.73% or 230 points to 13520 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 1.37% or 730 points to trade at 52440 in late trade. International (TA:FTIN) declined 1.07% or 50 points to end at 4625 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) shed 0.97% or 580 points to 59210.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 197 to 133 and 123 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.80% or 1.38 to $37.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.43% or 1.33 to hit $40.07 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1230.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.8958, while EUR/ILS fell 0.25% to 4.3138.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 96.94.
