Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.26% or 184 points to trade at 4500 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 2.94% or 1020 points to end at 35750 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.90% or 950 points to 50950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 1.88% or 370 points to trade at 19300 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) declined 1.61% or 72 points to end at 4387 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) shed 1.57% or 920 points to 57820.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 178 to 137 and 137 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.67% or 0.28 to $41.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $41.55 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.68% or 8.50 to trade at $1252.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.38% to 3.8425, while EUR/ILS fell 0.50% to 4.3141.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.54.
