Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 16.63% or 906 points to trade at 6355 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 4.53% or 65 points to end at 1500 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.73% or 2400 points to 66700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Harel (TA:HARL), which lost 1.93% or 40 points to trade at 2035 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) declined 1.80% or 35 points to end at 1910 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) shed 0.82% or 0.4 points to 48.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 227 to 167 and 16 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.51% or 0.24 to $47.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.22% or 0.12 to hit $53.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 12.04 to trade at $1339.16 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.51% to 3.5231, while EUR/ILS fell 0.07% to 4.2229.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 91.69.
