Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.58% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 4.76% or 23.6 points to trade at 519.8 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 3.03% or 51 points to end at 1736 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 2.64% or 1350 points to 52500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT), which lost 1.31% or 27 points to trade at 2028 in late trade. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) declined 1.30% or 620 points to end at 46890 and Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) shed 1.24% or 52 points to 4152.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 173 and 24 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.12% or 0.07 to $58.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $64.62 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1269.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.45% to 3.4845, while EUR/ILS fell 0.52% to 4.1334.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 92.96.
