Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Infrastructure and Miscellaneous Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite lost 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Smr Utama Tbk (JK:SMRU), which rose 19.87% or 63 points to trade at 380 at the close. Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama (JK:AHAP) added 10.46% or 16 points to end at 169 and Centratama Telekomunikasi Ind (JK:CENT) was up 10.00% or 15 points to 165 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI), which lost 23.63% or 56 points to trade at 181 in late trade. Wahana Pronatural (JK:WAPO) declined 20.24% or 17 points to end at 67 and Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (JK:LPIN) shed 19.86% or 1425 points to 5750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 219 to 89 and 35 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.05% or 0.56 to $52.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.17% or 0.69 to hit $57.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1154.30 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.17% to 13337.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.29% to 9934.60.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.76.
