Humana (NYSE:HUM) reported its third-quarter results, which exceeded the average analyst estimates.
In the third quarter, the company posted an adjusted earnings per share of $7.78, surpassing the consensus of $7.16.
Humana stock gained 1% on the results.
Revenue for the quarter amounted to $26.42 billion, which exceeded the average analyst estimate of $25.57 billion.
“Our third quarter results reinforce Humana’s commitment to delivering strong earnings growth, especially considering the 19 percent increase in our individual Medicare Advantage membership which significantly outpaces the industry growth rate,” said Bruce D. Broussard, Humana’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Looking ahead, Humana foresees a full-year 2023 EPS of at least $28.25, which is slightly below the consensus estimate of $28.30.
