U.S. stock futures were lower this morning, with the Dow Jones futures falling around 100 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (NYSE: HPE) shares fell sharply in pre-market trading on Tuesday.

HP might be on the verge of acquiring Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), in a deal possibly worth around $13 billion. The announcement could be made as early as this week, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares dipped 8.5% to $16.21 in pre-market trading.

Here are some big stocks recording losses in today’s pre-market trading session.

  • Grifols, S.A. (NASDAQ: GRFS) shares dipped 46.3% to $5.98 in pre-market trading.
  • CyberArk Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CYBR) shares fell 6.5% to $203.93 in pre-market trading. CyberArk is expected to report its fourth quarter and year end 2023 financial results on Feb. 8, 2024.
  • Summit Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: SMMT) fell 5.7% to $2.80 in pre-market trading after jumping 16% on Monday. Summit Therapeutics announced updated Phase II data for Ivonescimab at 42nd Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference.
  • Nkarta, Inc. (NASDAQ: NKTX) shares declined 5.4% to $10.15 in pre-market trading. Nkarta shares jumped 77% on Monday after the company announced an updated corporate presentation to reflect certain business and strategic updates.
  • Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLX) shares declined 5% to $67.76 in pre-market trading. Hologic announced preliminary revenue results for the first quarter, expecting revenue of $1.013 billion.
  • Microchip Technology Incorporated (NASDAQ: MCHP) shares declined 4.3% to $81.98 in pre-market trading after the company said it sees preliminary third-quarter revenue down roughly 22% sequentially compared to its prior guidance of down 15% to 20%.
  • Prothena Corporation plc (NASDAQ: PRTA) shares fell 4.2% to $33.79 in pre-market trading. Prothena shares fell 13% on Monday after the company provided a business update on portfolio programs.
  • Heron Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HRTX) shares declined 3.8% to $2.01 in pre-market trading after jumping 18% on Monday. Heron Therapeutics announced a five-year distribution partnership with CrossLink Life Sciences to expand promotional effort for ZYNRELEF.
