Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.47% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 2.98% or 0.82 points to trade at 28.33 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.17% or 0.37 points to end at 32.10 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.48% or 0.025 points to 5.245 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 18.89% or 0.676 points to trade at 2.902 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 8.21% or 0.1860 points to end at 2.0800 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 7.55% or 0.39 points to 4.77.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 167 to 21 and 6 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 4.68% or 1.54 to $31.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.85% or 0.84 to hit $28.84 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1196.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.26% to 1.1334, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.7817.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.09% at 95.71.
