Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Household and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 6.25% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.119 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 6.12% or 0.006 points to end at 0.104 and Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) was up 2.87% or 0.110 points to 3.940 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which lost 5.51% or 0.038 points to trade at 0.652 in late trade. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 5.37% or 0.008 points to end at 0.141 and Iaso (AT:IASr) shed 4.76% or 0.020 points to 0.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 28 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.33% or 4.45 to $1345.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $43.09 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.05 to trade at $45.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1111, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8546.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 96.10.
