Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Travel and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.02% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 3.58% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.289 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 3.03% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.3600 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was up 2.92% or 0.0070 points to 0.2470 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iaso (AT:IASr), which lost 6.15% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.220 in late trade. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 2.80% or 0.004 points to end at 0.139 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) shed 2.76% or 0.018 points to 0.634.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 41 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.63% or 7.95 to $1267.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.26% or 0.62 to hit $49.66 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 0.93 to trade at $52.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.66% to 1.1754, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 93.19.
