Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Industrials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 2.11% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 7.21% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.595 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 2.27% or 0.040 points to end at 1.800 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 1.87% or 0.050 points to 2.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 11.92% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.227 in late trade. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) declined 8.35% or 1.65 points to end at 18.11 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 6.65% or 0.210 points to 2.950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 82 to 25 and 8 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.04% or 13.80 to $1311.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.27% or 0.64 to hit $49.80 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.19% or 0.66 to trade at $54.96 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1955, while EUR/GBP rose 0.56% to 0.8840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 91.74.
