Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which rose 2.72% or 0.25 points to trade at 9.45 at the close. Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) added 1.97% or 0.50 points to end at 25.90 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was up 1.54% or 0.04 points to 2.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ekter (AT:EKTr), which lost 2.61% or 0.12 points to trade at 4.47 in late trade. HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr) declined 2.38% or 0.20 points to end at 8.22 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) shed 2.04% or 0.12 points to 5.77.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 35 and 23 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.30% or 6.90 to $2,333.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.42% or 0.33 to hit $77.41 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.21 to trade at $81.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.04.
