Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.20% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 3.38% or 0.22 points to trade at 6.72 at the close. Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr) added 2.83% or 0.14 points to end at 5.08 and Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) was up 2.33% or 0.13 points to 5.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 3.07% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.35 in late trade. Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) declined 2.56% or 0.10 points to end at 3.80 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) shed 2.39% or 0.11 points to 4.49.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 62 to 49 and 26 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.45% or 10.65 to $2,338.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.87% or 0.68 to hit $78.73 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.63 to trade at $83.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 105.16.
