Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Household and Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.72% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1580 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 6.83% or 0.110 points to end at 1.720 and Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) was up 3.87% or 0.060 points to 1.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which lost 9.93% or 0.2700 points to trade at 2.4500 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.20% or 0.005 points to end at 0.114 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) shed 4.01% or 0.220 points to 5.260.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 51 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.46% or 6.05 to $1321.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.15% or 0.54 to hit $46.44 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.46% or 0.72 to trade at $48.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1147, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8514.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.99.
