Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Household sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which rose 4.07% or 0.0250 points to trade at 0.6400 at the close. Reds (AT:CAMr) added 4.05% or 0.035 points to end at 0.900 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was up 3.93% or 0.048 points to 1.268 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which lost 3.51% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.650 in late trade. Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) declined 3.45% or 0.0500 points to end at 1.4000 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) shed 2.96% or 0.130 points to 4.260.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 59 to 47 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.08% or 13.00 to $1186.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.45% or 0.32 to hit $71.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.30% or 0.24 to trade at $81.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1667, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 94.46.
