Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 4.97% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) added 4.17% or 0.060 points to end at 1.550 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 4.03% or 0.89 points to 23.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 9.24% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.624 in late trade. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 7.74% or 0.120 points to end at 1.430 and Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) shed 3.42% or 0.050 points to 1.410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.55% or 7.17 to $1321.27 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.50% or 1.15 to hit $47.11 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.84% or 1.44 to trade at $52.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1877, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.9225.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 92.86.
