Electric automaker, Fisker Inc. (NYSE:FSR) on Tuesday, revealed additional details on its strategy for the Canadian market.
The Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV, which is currently being delivered in the U.S. and European launch markets, is anticipated to undergo homologation in Canada and is projected to be completed by September 7.
“We have always planned to reach customers throughout North America and are excited to be completing that strategy. And we are especially grateful for the patience of our future Canadian owners as we have ramped up our business in 2023,” said CEO Henrik Fisker.
Fisker envisions that the majority of deliveries for the launch-edition Fisker Ocean One vehicles in Canada will be concluded by the end of September.
“We have strong reservations and a solid bank of orders for the Fisker Ocean in Canada,” Fisker added.
The company has plans to set up retail and service points in Vancouver and Toronto, along with Fisker-certified collision-repair facilities. Additionally, the company aims to offer extensive sales and service assistance throughout Canada, which will encompass mobile service staffed by Fisker-trained technicians. Moreover, consumer financing options will be made available through Scotiabank, the designated retail financing partner of Fisker.
Shares of FSR are up 4.13% in afternoon trading Tuesday.
