Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.10% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 0.67% or 0.16 points to trade at 24.03 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 0.29% or 0.04 points to end at 13.92 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 31.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.14% or 0.1950 points to trade at 6.0250 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.97% or 0.116 points to end at 3.784 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 2.90% or 0.21 points to 7.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 138 to 38 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.94% or 0.90 to $45.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.70% or 0.76 to hit $43.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1304.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1118, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.07.
