Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.14% or 0.37 points to trade at 32.96 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.75% or 0.31 points to end at 41.41 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.49% or 0.050 points to 10.290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 1.72% or 0.62 points to trade at 35.39 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.51% or 0.1250 points to end at 8.1500 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 1.42% or 0.37 points to 25.63.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 27 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.09% or 0.05 to $55.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.73% or 0.38 to hit $52.75 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.37% or 16.40 to trade at $1212.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.97% to 1.0704, while EUR/GBP fell 1.80% to 0.8643.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.11% at 100.40.
