Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.02% or 0.26 points to trade at 25.64 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 0.59% or 0.17 points to end at 28.87 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.29% or 0.08 points to 27.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.45% or 0.1850 points to trade at 5.1800 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) declined 1.41% or 0.37 points to end at 25.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 1.37% or 0.56 points to 40.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 75 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.62% or 0.81 to $49.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.76% or 0.84 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1326.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1176, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8544.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 95.66.
