Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V), which rose 1.73% or 0.40 points to trade at 23.47 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.91% or 0.044 points to end at 4.894 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.65% or 0.050 points to 7.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which lost 3.02% or 0.69 points to trade at 22.14 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 2.87% or 1.01 points to end at 34.13 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.03% or 0.0940 points to 4.5440.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 76 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.38% or 0.18 to $47.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.33% or 0.15 to hit $45.83 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1331.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1059, while EUR/GBP rose 1.13% to 0.8414.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 96.66.
