Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.59% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.350 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.50% or 0.41 points to end at 27.80 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.23% or 0.50 points to 41.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 2.78% or 0.93 points to trade at 32.56 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.16% or 0.0650 points to end at 5.5250 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.16% or 0.060 points to 5.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 73 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 3.42% or 1.64 to $49.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.67% or 1.67 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 8.20 to trade at $1341.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1246, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8463.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 95.11.
