Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.81% or 0.41 points to trade at 23.11 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.40% or 0.45 points to end at 32.58 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.31% or 0.064 points to 4.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.46% or 0.3300 points to trade at 9.1950 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 2.70% or 1.04 points to end at 37.50 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 2.23% or 0.125 points to 5.490.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 53 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 2.37% or 1.26 to $51.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.51% or 1.26 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 5.95 to trade at $1203.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.0584, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8700.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.91.
