Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 2.61% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 4.30% or 0.40 points to trade at 9.70 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.65% or 0.28 points to end at 43.66 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.28% or 0.12 points to 42.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 7.40% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.14 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 6.26% or 1.17 points to end at 17.54 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) shed 5.49% or 4.50 points to 77.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 147 to 29 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.79% or 2.22 to $77.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.17% or 2.42 to hit $73.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 4.45 to trade at $2,476.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.08% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 103.12.
