Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.11% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.72% or 0.90 points to trade at 33.95 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 0.18% or 0.06 points to end at 32.68 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 0.09% or 0.01 points to 5.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 4.64% or 0.91 points to trade at 18.70 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 4.54% or 0.2160 points to end at 4.5390 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 4.13% or 0.209 points to 4.849.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 147 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.19% or 1.82 to $81.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.02% or 1.48 to hit $71.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.49% or 29.70 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1579, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.8770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 94.85.
