Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.44% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.48% or 0.55 points to trade at 37.64 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) added 1.08% or 0.10 points to end at 9.35 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 1.07% or 0.18 points to 16.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which lost 3.91% or 3.45 points to trade at 84.75 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 3.56% or 1.95 points to end at 52.80 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 3.51% or 0.45 points to 12.39.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 52 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.06 to $82.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $78.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 24.50 to trade at $2,342.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 105.18.
