Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.06% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.16% or 0.095 points to trade at 8.265 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.87% or 0.36 points to end at 41.75 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.72% or 0.28 points to 39.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 3.53% or 1.19 points to trade at 32.54 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.92% or 0.285 points to end at 9.475 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 2.84% or 0.80 points to 27.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 35 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.81% or 0.61 to $74.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.81% or 1.19 to hit $64.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1277.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.1567, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.75.
