Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.99% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.40% or 0.10 points to trade at 7.26 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.35% or 0.48 points to end at 36.14 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.27% or 0.030 points to 11.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 3.32% or 1.70 points to trade at 49.55 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 3.00% or 0.67 points to end at 21.69 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.26% or 0.125 points to 5.415.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 49 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.23% or 0.12 to $51.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.35% or 0.63 to hit $45.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.48 to trade at $1319.78 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.2018, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.9294.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 91.97.
