Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO), which rose 0.69% or 0.13 points to trade at 18.85 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) added 0.55% or 0.45 points to end at 82.55 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 0.33% or 0.13 points to 39.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which lost 3.62% or 1.14 points to trade at 30.33 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 2.23% or 0.18 points to end at 7.73 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) shed 2.03% or 0.19 points to 9.16.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 64 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.16% or 1.78 to $80.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.42% or 1.90 to hit $76.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 11.50 to trade at $2,406.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.19.
