Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.85% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.98% or 0.34 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 0.67% or 0.22 points to end at 32.90 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.18% or 0.020 points to 10.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.15% or 0.125 points to trade at 5.700 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.84% or 0.78 points to end at 41.59 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.83% or 0.29 points to 15.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 22 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.47% or 0.25 to $52.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.89% or 0.44 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.89% or 11.40 to trade at $1290.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1754, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.9055.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.38.
