Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.85% or 0.18 points to trade at 21.30 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.56% or 0.026 points to end at 4.653 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.11% or 0.03 points to 27.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 5.51% or 0.334 points to trade at 5.732 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.63% or 0.77 points to end at 28.53 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 2.53% or 0.43 points to 16.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 39 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.89% or 1.46 to $75.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.30% or 1.58 to hit $67.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1203.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1619, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8979.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.06.
