Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 0.58% or 0.060 points to trade at 10.390 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 0.46% or 0.18 points to end at 39.62 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.38% or 0.12 points to 31.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.83% or 0.48 points to trade at 16.49 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.35% or 0.1950 points to end at 8.1000 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 2.09% or 0.75 points to 35.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 53 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.51 to $63.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.33% or 0.19 to hit $57.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.45 to trade at $1275.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1582, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 94.85.
