Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which rose 1.08% or 0.46 points to trade at 42.94 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.95% or 0.25 points to end at 26.45 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.60% or 0.29 points to 48.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.12% or 0.1600 points to trade at 7.3900 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.87% or 0.078 points to end at 4.102 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 1.77% or 0.11 points to 6.11.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 79 to 66 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.95% or 1.23 to $61.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.11% or 1.20 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.39 to trade at $1279.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.87% to 1.1768, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.8953.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 93.90.
