Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.04% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.74 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.72% or 0.26 points to end at 15.38 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.46% or 0.16 points to 10.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 5.68% or 2.62 points to trade at 43.54 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 3.48% or 0.51 points to end at 14.01 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) shed 3.01% or 0.56 points to 17.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 72 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.32% or 1.72 to $76.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.53% or 1.77 to hit $71.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 13.50 to trade at $2,752.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.89.
