Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.54% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.28% or 0.062 points to trade at 4.915 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.97% or 0.038 points to end at 3.939 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.32% or 0.11 points to 34.66 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.85% or 0.53 points to trade at 18.07 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 2.59% or 0.14 points to end at 5.26 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.98% or 0.275 points to 13.630.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 55 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.13% or 0.10 to $79.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $69.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1224.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1467, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 95.78.
