Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.69% or 0.11 points to trade at 15.96 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 0.43% or 0.07 points to end at 16.42 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 0.43% or 0.16 points to 37.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.00% or 0.2650 points to trade at 8.5700 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 1.63% or 0.37 points to end at 22.28 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 1.33% or 0.55 points to 40.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 45 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.80% or 0.44 to $55.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.60% or 0.79 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.82 to trade at $1329.82 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP fell 1.42% to 0.8869.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.33.
