Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.16% or 0.31 points to trade at 26.93 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.84% or 0.38 points to end at 45.80 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.41% or 0.017 points to 4.203 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.77% or 0.2240 points to trade at 5.7140 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.62% or 0.140 points to end at 8.480 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.57% or 0.130 points to 8.168.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 58 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.75% or 0.60 to $79.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.13% or 0.81 to hit $71.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 14.70 to trade at $1304.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1729, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8764.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 93.69.
