Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.82% or 0.55 points to trade at 20.08 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.10% or 0.056 points to end at 5.144 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.86% or 0.37 points to 43.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which lost 2.29% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.54 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.14% or 0.63 points to end at 28.80 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.94% or 0.160 points to 8.075.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.93% or 0.78 to $84.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.62% or 0.46 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.80 to trade at $1191.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1484, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8741.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
