Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.89% or 0.1400 points to trade at 7.5300 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 1.35% or 0.27 points to end at 20.29 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.22% or 0.046 points to 3.818 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 1.91% or 0.72 points to trade at 36.88 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.76% or 0.115 points to end at 6.425 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.31% or 0.21 points to 15.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 42 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.40% or 0.25 to $61.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.57% or 0.32 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 5.08 to trade at $1277.82 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1794, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8957.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.77.
