Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.30% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 1.14% or 0.07 points to trade at 6.22 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.73% or 0.19 points to end at 26.30 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.62% or 0.23 points to 37.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.50% or 0.064 points to trade at 4.204 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.25% or 0.23 points to end at 18.17 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 1.01% or 0.49 points to 48.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.75% or 0.48 to $63.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.94% or 0.54 to hit $56.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 11.47 to trade at $1276.03 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.34.
