Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.29% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.37 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.23% or 0.04 points to end at 3.55 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.81% or 0.32 points to 39.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which lost 6.91% or 5.75 points to trade at 77.45 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 4.65% or 0.67 points to end at 13.65 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.67% or 0.31 points to 18.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 66 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.14% or 0.12 to $85.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.12% or 0.10 to hit $81.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 2.75 to trade at $2,339.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.55.
