Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.74% or 0.14 points to trade at 18.97 at the close. Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) added 0.67% or 0.03 points to end at 4.20 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.51% or 0.06 points to 10.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 3.10% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.52 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.95% or 0.07 points to end at 3.63 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) shed 1.70% or 0.41 points to 23.67.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 72 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.35% or 0.28 to $79.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $75.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.82% or 67.35 to trade at $2,323.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 104.82.
