Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 0.96% or 0.33 points to trade at 34.75 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.74% or 0.34 points to end at 46.14 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.53% or 0.045 points to 8.525 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.38% or 0.276 points to trade at 7.892 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.66% or 0.1520 points to end at 5.5620 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 2.19% or 0.092 points to 4.111.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 71 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.39% or 2.67 to $76.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.30% or 3.04 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1303.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 94.12.
