Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 2.78% or 0.4600 points to trade at 17.0000 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 2.20% or 1.06 points to end at 49.20 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.04% or 0.78 points to 75.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.53% or 0.2000 points to trade at 5.4600 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.66% or 0.178 points to end at 6.504 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.60% or 0.230 points to 14.165.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 54 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.41% or 0.30 to $72.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.42% or 0.28 to hit $67.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.60 to trade at $1202.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8919.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 96.59.
