Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 7.32% or 1.97 points to trade at 28.90 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 3.22% or 1.27 points to end at 40.77 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 2.06% or 0.89 points to 44.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 9.55% or 0.688 points to trade at 6.518 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 4.32% or 1.03 points to end at 22.80 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.75% or 0.465 points to 16.455.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.38% or 0.28 to $73.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $67.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 9.60 to trade at $1323.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.2180, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 90.95.
