Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.77% or 0.48 points to trade at 13.20 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 2.70% or 0.69 points to end at 26.22 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.44% or 0.225 points to 9.440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which lost 0.43% or 0.11 points to trade at 25.57 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.04% or 0.002 points to end at 4.534 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) gained 0.09% or 0.04 points to 43.93.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 52 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.14% or 0.07 to $51.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.56% or 7.05 to trade at $1263.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.0993, while EUR/GBP fell 0.95% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.78.
